# Miro reconciliation — local research audit

Checked 15 October 2026. **The accessible object inventory is complete; verification of every board claim is not.** The original Miro contains political commentary, policy timelines, third-party articles, securities lists, documents, images, and many generic connector lines. It is not a clean table of current investments.

The supplied [Public Moose on the Loose 2 board](https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVJHtMlVk=/?share_link_id=203396119314) opened read-only in the browser after the ordinary web reader failed. It exposes a synced-copy frame whose overview reports 3,819 contained objects. The visible “All synced copies” menu led to the [Public Source original](https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVJHO6Ns4=/?moveToWidget=3458764640728789476). Its read-only accessible overview exposed all **3,679 numbered top-level object labels**, plus nested objects: **3,873 labelled DOM objects** saved in `miro-audit.json`. Every numbered index 1–3,679 is present. No private app state, board API, account creation, or board edits were used. A board label says “Last Updated March 09, 2026”; this is the board author’s label, not a verified freshness date for every item.

The saved inventory includes 693 Terminator-shaped labels and 131 literal URLs visible in text. These are neither unique company counts nor verified relationships. Many labels contain country, sector, dollar, role, or editorial annotations. Generic connector labels do not establish a supported relation. Images were not exhaustively OCRed, and all embedded/previews’ destinations were not harvested. Board export requested account creation, so it was not used. The registry and Scout final-acquisition external destinations were opened directly; other source URLs in the enrichment file were found independently from the visible research leads and checked against their primary publishers.

## Reconciliation to the official documents

The official [Summary Statement registry result](https://www.ethicscanada.ca/en/public-registry/Details?declarationId=cd9fa6cd-e00f-f011-8194-001dd8b72449) was checked through Mark Carney’s client page → Declarations and Other Documents → Summary Statements (Act). It displays **Disclosed on July 10, 2025**, and links the [Appendix PDF](https://www.ethicscanada.ca/Declarations/43657/Appendix%20Summary%20Statement%20-%20Annexe%20Declaration%20Sommaire.pdf). The exact result text, URLs, date, and reading method are saved under `official_summary_statement_verification` in the audit JSON.

The PDF’s page 1 distinguishes the self-administered RRSP account description from **eight named instrument rows**, including the notional incentive plan, options and deferred share units. It then introduces the securities held in a third-party-managed account whose selection Carney did not control or direct. The document describes divestment into a blind trust. These labels should not become claims of current personally managed holdings. Pages 1, 7, 12, and 16 were rendered and visually checked: English is left, French right; wrapped English rows must be joined and the translation must not be counted again. The checked local file is `research/sources/2025-07-10-summary-appendix.pdf`.

The board’s 21 text buckets yielded **674 Stock/RRSP/Conflict-labelled name leads**. A bounded textual comparison to the then-current 684-record pilot found normalized name matches for **671**. This is a name comparison, not verification of the board’s “Conflict” classification, legal identity, ownership, or current status. Normalization changes case, punctuation, whitespace, and trailing legal suffix tokens only. It does not merge aliases or similar corporate names. The three unmatched strings explain why source-exact records are safer:

- “Brookfield Global Transition Fund” omits the Appendix’s instrument description; the source identifies a notional long-term incentive plan.
- “Expeditors International of” is truncated; the official English row continues with Washington, Inc.
- The Inter Pipeline bucket appends the no-role/no-direct-financial-interest qualifier to the name; the Annex category’s qualifier must be retained separately.

The strict comparison of the 693 entire Terminator labels found 29 matched label instances (15 unique raw labels) and 664 without a full normalized match. This low count is **not a missing-company percentage**: the shape labels frequently contain annotations and many are policies, people, roles, or institutions. The full matches and unverified/out-of-scope lead list are preserved under `name_reconciliation`. No automatic legal merges were made.

## What stays out

The accessible text contains one explicit “need source” marker, in a public-service promise/cuts claim. It is excluded. The raw board inventory keeps it solely for the exclusion audit. Allegations, predictions, misconduct conclusions, causal interpretations of stock-price charts, and any specific relation without primary evidence stay out. Merely seeing a familiar company name next to a line is insufficient evidence. A sourced acquisition by a Brookfield-and-partners group must not be represented as Carney’s personal investment or as sole ownership by one Brookfield listed entity.

## Sourced deeper branches

`miro-enrichment-candidates.json` contains 17 reviewed candidate relations from eight primary documents for Scout, Urban Grid, Avaada, CleanMax, Entropy, Carbon TerraVault, LanzaTech, and BGTF. Each carries its subject/object, relation, date precision or as-of date, original URL, locator, paraphrase, and interpretation limits. The candidate format is a review input; the native graph integration is separate. Distinct transaction groups should be used across acquisitions; the unspecified institutional partners should not be assumed identical.

CleanMax’s 55% figure is verified as an agreement reported on 5 May 2023, not a closing or current holding. Its formerly indexed 1 June primary PDF now redirects to the company homepage. Entropy’s December release verifies investment and credit-offtake commitments, including conditional ownership/draws; currency was left unspecified where the checked document did not explicitly identify it. Project commitments, cash deployed, corporate equity, and net-to-BEP shares are different measures and must not be added together.

All eight primary sources now have local snapshots and SHA-256 fingerprints recorded in the enrichment file. Six are downloaded original HTML/PDF files. LanzaTech’s wire release and CRC’s announcement returned HTTP403 to a direct download, but loaded fully in the normal browser; their complete rendered article DOM was saved as HTML, explicitly labelled `browser_rendered_article_dom`. Those are rendered source snapshots, not original server-response files. No publication or external board changes occurred.
