Four voices, your choice. Select a route and feed direction for each ring.

Our starting mix pairs frequent buses R4 and 99 with SeaBus and Canada Line. Direction numbers come from the feed, not compass directions. Pitches belong to the four rings.

About the notes

These are scheduled trip starts in one feed direction, sometimes from multiple origins—not arrivals or boarding frequency at one stop. Original sound uses four steady pitches: D3, F3, A3 and C4. Melodic sound uses an authored D minor pentatonic phrase (D, F, G, A, C), with the third ring carrying the melody and quieter supporting tones on the other rings. Pitches follow repeating service-time patterns, so seeking, replaying and soloing preserve the same phrase. Every note still starts at its exact scheduled time; the melody is a creative interpretation, not another transit measurement. Four schedule hours become 24 seconds, preserving exact spacing. Full day includes 00:00–30:00 (06:00 the following day), played in three minutes, including quiet gaps. Choose any four route-direction voices; the rings keep their musical roles. Night spans 22:00–26:00 on the selected service date; +1 indicates the following calendar day.
